What a charter bus costs in the GTA
Every trip is quoted, because a rate card is wrong for most trips the moment the date, the hours or the pickups change. What does not change is what is in the figure: the whole vehicle, the driver, fuel, tolls, insurance and HST — with gratuity never added. Here is what sets the number, and how quickly you get it.
- Executive Sprinter: up to 14 passengers · 12 bags · Executive travel for small groups
- Mini Coach: up to 32 passengers · 26 bags · Luxury coach travel, mid-size group
- Luxury Coach: up to 56 passengers · 55 bags · Our flagship coach, up to 56
Why there is no price list
The honest answer to "what does a bus cost" is that it depends, and a rate card hides that rather than resolving it. Four things move the number enough to make a published figure misleading: how far you are going, how long you need the vehicle, how many people are travelling and what date it is. So we quote each trip instead. It takes a person a few minutes and the number that comes back is the real one, not a starting point that grows once you describe the trip.
What sets the number
Distance is the single biggest input — a run across the GTA and a run to Quebec City are not in the same world. Then the shape of the booking: a door-to-door transfer is priced differently from a vehicle that waits with you all day. Then group size, which decides whether you need an 14-seat Executive Sprinter, a mid-size coach or a 56-seat Luxury Coach — above roughly twenty people one coach is usually cheaper per head than two smaller vehicles. Extra pickups add time and distance. The date matters too: summer Saturdays, long weekends and prom season are the busiest of the year.
What is always included
The whole vehicle — never a seat on somebody else's bus — plus the driver, fuel, tolls, insurance and HST, in one figure. Luggage is included: 12 bags on the Executive Sprinter, 26 bags on the Mini Coach, 55 bags on the Luxury Coach. For overnight trips the driver's accommodation is quoted in rather than added afterwards.
What we never add
No gratuity, no fuel surcharge, no booking fee, no card fee and no administration line. HST is shown rather than discovered at the end. The figure quoted is the figure paid, nothing is owed until the vehicle is confirmed for your date, and payment is by Interac e-Transfer four days before travel. No card is needed to ask, and there is no obligation in asking.
Where groups go from Toronto
Distance drives the quote, so it is worth knowing where you sit. Toronto to Niagara Falls is 130 km each way, usually a day trip. Toronto to Blue Mountain is 150 km each way, usually a day trip. Toronto to Muskoka is 190 km each way, usually a day trip. Toronto to Canada’s Wonderland is 33 km each way, usually a day trip. Toronto to Tobermory & the Bruce Peninsula is 300 km each way, usually an overnight. Toronto to Ottawa is 450 km each way, usually an overnight. Toronto to Montreal is 545 km each way, usually an overnight. Toronto to Wasaga Beach is 150 km each way, usually a day trip.
Common questions
- How much does it cost to rent a charter bus in Toronto?
- It depends on four things: how far you are going, how long you need the vehicle, how many people are travelling and what date it is. Those move the number enough that a published rate would be wrong for most trips, so we quote each one. Send the route, the date and a rough headcount and a person comes back the same day.
- Why do you not publish a price list?
- Because the honest answer to "what does a bus cost" is "it depends", and a rate card hides that rather than resolving it. A quote takes us minutes and it is the real number — not a starting point that grows once you describe the trip.
- How much is a bus per person?
- You are hiring the vehicle rather than buying seats, so the per-person cost falls sharply as the group grows. Thirty people in one 56-seat coach pay far less each than six in an executive sprinter. Tell us the headcount and we will tell you where you land.
- Is the driver included?
- Yes — the driver, fuel, tolls, insurance and HST are all in the quoted figure. Gratuity is never added and there is no fuel surcharge.
- Do you need a deposit or a credit card?
- No card is needed to get a quote or to hold a vehicle. Payment is by Interac e-Transfer four days before the trip, and nothing is owed until we have confirmed the vehicle for your date.
- What is the cheapest way to move a large group?
- One coach beats several smaller vehicles almost every time. Above roughly twenty people a 56-seat coach works out cheaper per head than a 14-seat Sprinter, and far cheaper than everyone driving and parking.
- How far in advance should we book?
- Two to four weeks is comfortable for most dates. Summer Saturdays, long weekends and prom season go earlier — if your date is one of those, ask sooner rather than later.
